The Alliance as a whole also looks for opportunities to help women in the communities we serve, as well. That’s why we support the following:

DRESS FOR SUCCESS

Founded in New York City in 1997, Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization that helps women find jobs and remain employed. Each Dress for Success client receives one suit when she has a job interview and can return for a second suit or separates when she finds work. While best known for providing suits, employment retention programs are the cornerstone of the organization. Finding work is only one step in a woman’s journey toward economic independence; remaining employed and building a rewarding career are essential if a woman is to become self-sufficient.

MOLLY EFRON FUND

This scholarship fund was created in memory of Molly Efron, an early member of the Alliance and a role model for technical women at Xerox. Ms. Efron pioneered a job-sharing program at Xerox in order to stay home with her first daughter, Eve.
